Connie Butera (she/her)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Connie Butera is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and member of The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Connie’s focus in clinical practice is on community mental health and supporting the family unit as a whole. Connie’s experience lies in working with individuals struggling with various perinatal mood disorders (PMAD’s, PPD), postpartum stress, anxiety and emotional dysregulation.

Connie is proud to have completed additional training via Postpartum Support International and have been working to support maternal mental health for over 12 years. As a special needs parent herself, parent mentor with The Children’s Treatment Network, and having completed an additional certificate in Autism via Kerry’s Place Autism Services, Connie offers further focus and personal experience in supporting neurodiverse families; specifically with Autism, ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome.

Connie understands that each individual’s needs are entirely unique, and so she strives to honour and appreciate whatever avenue of care is required; based on your individual experience. As such, she works with clients to provide a collaborative experience that will facilitate a therapeutic approach that works best for you.

Connie’s overall approach to her work is very person-centred (PCT), Solution Focused (SFT) and Emotion Focused (EFT); however she draws from various other modalities in her work as required; such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. In her free time; Connie enjoys spending time with her large blended family or up at her trailer listening to country music in Muskoka.
