Dr. Alexsia is a Registered Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in perinatal health and wellness. She’s here to support you and your well-being through each of life’s beautiful phases – from menstruation and fertility to pregnancy and postpartum – and all moments in-between! She believes in the ‘keep it simple” principle – the most effective tools in the journey to better health are nutrition, formation of healthy and sustainable habits, and acupuncture. If you are ready to take action and finally invest in yourself, Dr. Alexsia is here to make sure you’re living and performing at your highest potential.
Tapping into a foundation of nutrition, a balanced lifestyle, and the practice of acupuncture, Dr Alexsia works with her patients to not only navigate symptoms but also uncover root issues and overcome health challenges to live a radiant, vibrant life. Using a blend of clinical research and experience, she sends her patients home with a plan that is sustainable for their often-busy lifestyles. She works integratively with her colleagues at Oona for many perinatal health conditions to treat the whole body, not just the symptoms you’re experiencing. She has also done extensive research on conditions such as PCOS, Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Uterine Fibroids, Endometriosis and more so that she can assist you with living your full, best life.
At home, Dr Alexsia is exclusively known as ‘Mom’ to her little boy Nico. As a mother, she knows how important health and nutrition is for a growing infant and has additional experience treating babies and children. Her approach to pediatric Naturopathy is gentle, focusing on compassionate care that benefits the entire family. She’s here to help parents achieve their goals for their children, whether that’s helping them transition to solid foods, or treating a stubborn case of eczema that just won’t budge. Whatever the case may be, her mom instincts are on ‘high-alert’ and she’s happy to help!
Dr. Alexsia holds her license with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Prior to her studies at CCNM, she obtained an Honours Bachelor degree in Biology from York University. She is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
