Postnatal Fitness & Pilates: Parent/Caregiver and Baby Class

Cost: $139+HST for 6 weeks (Drop-in for $28+HST)

Duration: 1 Hour / week for 6 weeks

Description

This 6-week series class is designed for parents to move their bodies in a safe and supportive environment with their child present.

Participants will learn postpartum-friendly exercises, breathing techniques and stretching.

They will learn to retrain their core and challenge themselves using a variety of equipment such as Pilates balls and mini bands.

Instructor Emily Mather @emilymatherfit will incorporate Pilates exercises into this low-impact class; Pilates focuses on strengthening all aspects of the body’s core.

This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

When to take this class

Feel free to take this as soon as you feel you are ready to after having your baby.  We do recommend an appointment with a pelvic floor physiotherapist prior to starting class to assess for any issues, but it’s not mandatory.  This class is suitable for parents and caregivers with pre-mobile babies.
