0:00: Hello, this is Dr. Pegah.
0:01: I’m here today to talk to you about the common tongue stretches before or after having a tongue tie procedure for the for your baby.
0:10: Basically, all of these stretches can be done within 24 hours of following the procedure.
0:15: So, one of them is cuppy stretch.
0:18: you can provide cuppy stretch in so many different ways.
0:21: I find most baby
0:22: , feel more comfortable while they’re, being held to do to do the stretch.
0:28: So I do recommend to keep the baby, like, put one hand on the baby back, the other hands go on the head area and let that head gently relax backward to stretch, like everything like all anterior fascia in the front of their neck and jaw area, which is here.
0:47: So we keep it like as long as the baby will tolerate it.
0:51: The second movement is fishy face.
0:53: so for the fishy face, you put both of your fingers on both sides of the baby jaw, like right in front of your ear, like here, basically.
1:02: You put it on both sides and you bring it together.
1:06: So that’s a fishy face.
1:08: I’m gonna show on the baby as well.
1:10: So like you put both sides up here and you’re gonna bring it together.
1:14: That’s a fishy face.
