Tens machines are a fabulous choice for safe and natural pain control for childbirth. The Perfect Mama Tens units are widely recommended by clients and midwives alike, as it allows birthing people to remain upright and move around during birth.

These tens units are also incredible for early labour, to get birthing people through the stage where they’re not quite yet at the hospital and before an epidural is administered (if an epidural is desired). Labour can be long – these tens units are an incredible tool for helping you through it! They are like a birth labour secret weapon.

Rental Cost:

Perfect Mama Tens Units have a 5-week rental period. The base rental fee is $69+HST for 5 weeks plus a one-time fee of $10+HST for the electrodes. Each additional week past the 5-week initial rental period is $25+HST up to a maximum of the cost of the machine ($189+HST). Payment is due in full to reserve the unit. If we have to cancel the reservation for any reason, we will provide you with a full refund.

Pick up:

The rental period begins on the date of the pickup. This date will be specified on the rental agreement that you must sign at the time of reservation. The Tens unit is available for pickup at either of our Toronto or Newmarket studios between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturday. We will send a confirmation email to confirm the reservation with the available pickup times. Please don’t come to pick up the unit before you receive a confirmation from us.

Please note: If you have insurance, your insurance will likely cover the purchase of one of these units with a doctor’s/midwife note (check your policy for details). They don’t usually cover rentals but the purchase would be covered. These units can be used before and after your labour also, for general pain control, just like any other TENS machine. Oona Perfect Mama Tens Rental Agreement

Agreement to Borrow Equipment Release of Liability

I acknowledge that I am renting a PerfectMama Tens Unit from Oona Wellness Group.

The rental period for the Equipment is from ______________________ to _____________________. I understand that it is my responsibility to pick up the Equipment, and to return it to the same location at the end of my rental period unless otherwise agreed by both parties. I agree to return the Equipment to Oona in the same condition that it was in on the day I rented it, normal wear and tear excepted.

I understand that there is a $69+HST charge for the rental of the Equipment for the 5-week period, and a one time charge of $10+HST for the electrodes. In the event that the Equipment is lost or destroyed during the rental period, I agree to replace the Equipment at my own expense. Also, if the Equipment is damaged during my rental period, I authorize Oona to charge my credit card to replace it, as described below. My credit card is not authorized for any other purpose.

I understand that my rental is for a 5-week period only, and each additional week’s rental will cost $25/week +HST. If my rental is not returned by the due date, I will automatically be charged $25+HST on the first day after the due date for the following week, and this will continue for every week thereafter until it is returned, to a maximum of the cost of the unit ($189+HST).

I understand that Oona is not warranting that the Equipment is fit for use or for any particular person, and that I am solely responsible for the selection of the Equipment.

I HEREBY RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS OONA WELLNESS GROUP, AND ANY OF ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR VOLUNTEERS REPRESENTING OR RELATED TO OONA, FOR ANY LIABILITY I N CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR POSSESSION OF THE EQUIPMENT. THIS RELEASE IS FOR ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURIES ( INCLUDING DEATH) AND PROPERTY LOSSES OR DAMAGE OCCASIONED BY, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE POSSESSION OR USE OF THE EQUIPMENT.
