Shannon is a Birth and Postpartum Doula currently certifying with Doula Canada.
When Shannon discovered what a doula does, she was amazed by the beautiful and empowering position it held, and she knew that she needed to learn more. She delved deep into books and did extensive research before jumping into training for working in the world of pregnancy, birth, and babies.
Witnessing parents come together and care for their new baby is profoundly meaningful for Shannon. She finds great meaning in being there for her families, lending a hand around the home, listening to their concerns, and snuggling babies. Shannon cherishes the opportunity to connect with families, build trust, and support them during one of the most profound experiences of their lives.
Shannon is also a night nanny, and has gained interest in safe sleep, gentle sleep training and how sleep plays a role in a baby’s development.
When she has some free time, she likes exploring neighbourhoods, watching basketball, veganism and hanging out with her partner and cats.
