Rachel is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in Health and Mental Health. She is dedicated to helping parents navigate the raw reality of infant feeding with clarity and confidence.
Learning to feed a baby involves a steep skill curve, and the common belief that it should simply come “naturally” often leaves new parents feeling overwhelmed. Rachel strives to quiet the outside noise, offering a welcoming space where clients can let their guard down and speak openly about their experiences.
Her practice blends clinical precision with empathetic, grounded support, built on 14 health science credits, 95 hours of lactation-specific education, and over 500 hours of hands-on, in-clinic mentored training. She also draws on her personal experience breastfeeding her own three daughters. Whether addressing a painful latch, managing supply concerns, or navigating a new postpartum phase, she brings an observant clinical eye to feeding challenges and a compassionate ear to emotional well-being.
With no rigid scripts or judgment, Rachel provides honest care designed to help families find their own rhythm and feel fully supported every step of the way.
When Rachel is away from the office, you will likely find her at home with her husband and three daughters, navigating the carpool line in her minivan or triaging the never-ending laundry pile. Two of Rachel’s favourite things are the sound of her kids’ laughter and her morning coffee.
In-Office appointments may be scheduled directly through Oona’s booking site.
