Elspeth has been a postpartum doula for six years and has a passion for sleep support for newborns and families. Elspeth has always loved working with kids both professionally as an arts educator and nanny, and personally as the eldest of five siblings and stepmom to an 11-year-old, which is what drew them to the doula field.
Elspeth believes strongly in working as a guide to families in reaching their personal goals for themselves and their babies. They are an empathic listener with a keen eye for details and prefers to offer knowledge without bias to caregivers and families to make the best decisions for themselves.
Elspeth identifies as queer and Indigenous and has a particular interest in justice and support for these communities, but they have also worked with families handling a variety of challenges including financial and housing instability. Their commitment to equality and social justice informs their work with every family.
When Elspeth is not actively supporting families, they are conducting presentations and workshops for families and fellow doulas centering on parenting and how to handle PPMDs. They are an avid crafter and gardener who loves planning activities for their family.
Elspeth works hard to provide an outstanding level of care and support to families of all types and looks forward to finding out how their skills and experience can help your family reach all of their goals.
