Yasemin is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 10 years of combined clinical and academic experience in physiotherapy. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and is currently pursuing her PhD in the same field. Her background also includes university-level teaching and research, which has shaped her commitment to evidence-based practice and patient education.
Yasemin has a particular interest in pelvic health and enjoys supporting individuals with bladder and bowel concerns, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual health concerns, and changes related to pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and different stages of life. She recognizes that many pelvic health concerns can be difficult to talk about and strives to create a space where patients feel comfortable discussing their symptoms openly and without judgment.
With a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Yasemin takes a whole-body approach to pelvic health. She considers how the pelvic floor interacts with breathing, the core, movement, posture, and the rest of the body rather than viewing symptoms in isolation. She also places a strong emphasis on education, helping patients understand what may be contributing to their symptoms and the reasoning behind their treatment. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized.Yasemin believes patients should feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their care. Treatment is tailored to each person’s symptoms, goals, lifestyle, and individual needs, with the aim of helping them feel more confident in both their body and their recovery.
Outside of the clinic, Yasemin can usually be found exploring Toronto in search of a good cup of coffee, taking photos, or spending time with her dog, Sans (who may or may not be in charge of the household). She also loves puzzles and will happily lose track of time trying to find that one missing piece; apparently, figuring out how things fit together follows her outside the clinic too.
