Description

Please note: this class is held ONLINE in a live-taught format. Our class sizes are kept small to ensure as personal an experience as possible.

This hybrid course makes sure families get all their essential questions about pregnancy, labour and delivery answered.

The class format is one 3.5-hour interactive, group class as a complete birth primer, PLUS a one-on-one meeting with the instructor (who is a doula!) to help develop your personalized birth plan according to your own unique preferences.

This course will answer some of your most common questions about pregnancy and childbirth, including:

  • How will I prepare for baby’s arrival?
  • How do I know I am in labour?
  • How will I manage through the stages/phases of labour?
  • What are my options?
  • Who will support me?
  • Once Baby is born: What happens next?
  • How will I take care of myself?

Not only will the course ensure you have a great basis of knowledge and skills to prepare for delivery, but you’ll also know how to best apply the information to YOUR vision and preferences for birth.

This course can be used as a standalone class for those who don’t have time to take a traditional multi-week childbirth education class, for those who have taken a hospital class and are looking for just a bit more information on their options during birth, and also offers families the opportunity to get insight from a doula about their birth plan without committing to a birth doula package.
