This 10 hour in-person course is held over 4 sessions of 2.5 hours each and is ideally taken so that the last class is near the end of your pregnancy. • Ideas for how to manage labour with a partner and with simple at home tools available to everyone
  • Coping techniques for active labour

What people are saying about this class:

“We took the childbirth preparation class with Vera over 4 evenings and it was amazing! It helped us approach our first birth with a lot more confidence and feeling empowered to make the choices that matter to us. Vera’s also super funny and disarming which helps with a subject matter that can feel anxious at times. I would highly recommend this class!” – Derek.

When to take this class

We recommend taking this class so that you finish the last class at around week 37/38 of your pregnancy.  Don’t take it too early – given that first babies are usually about 5 days overdue, if you finish at week 32, you will find that you may have forgotten everything by the time your baby is born.  We want you to be prepared at the right time for your birth.

We do not recommend taking more than one childbirth education class at Oona. Taking more than one can be information overload, in addition you are likely to enjoy one more than the other, which can be confusing.  Choose one that you think resonates best with you, and stick with that one.
